In the Spirit of Reconciliation
Led by Shane and our dedicated partners, the Urban Ceremonial Cultural Grounds Project stands as a testament to our shared commitment to reconciliation and the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s 94 Calls to Action. This initiative seeks to restore balance, healing, and unity by creating sacred spaces where Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples can come together to learn, share, and grow in mutual respect and understanding.
Through this visionary project, we are developing urban ceremonial grounds that honour the traditions, languages, and ceremonies of Indigenous peoples—creating places of gathering, reflection, and healing. These spaces will serve as living classrooms, where cultural knowledge is passed from Elders to youth, and where community members can connect through teachings, ceremony, and celebration.
Rooted in Indigenous values and guided by the voices of Elders, Knowledge Keepers, and community members, the Urban Ceremonial Cultural Grounds Project reflects our ongoing journey toward truth, reconciliation, and cultural resurgence. It is more than a project—it is a movement to strengthen Indigenous identity, build cultural pride, and promote unity within urban communities.
Together, we are fostering understanding, promoting healing, and building a future where Indigenous culture, spirituality, and teachings are celebrated and sustained for generations to come.
